Gmail is introducing cool new features.Here is a list of the latest features
1)Gmail chat integrates AIM® network
Now you can chat with your AIM® friends using an integrated chat list within Gmail.
Gmail chat now has the option to sign in to your AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) account to chat with your AIM friends from within Gmail. Your AIM buddies will be shown in your Contacts list, and are searchable just like any of your Google Talk contacts.
To use this feature you will need an AIM account . Gmail uses Open AIM to provide this feature.This will allow users to sign in to AIM from within Gmail
2)Colored labels
Gmail now allows you to organize your emails with colored labels.Yeah thats true you can assign colours to labels to make it look well organized and easy to access.
3)New emoticons![]()
Gmail now introduces smilies or emotions within the Gmail chat.This is the first time gmail includes image smilies or emotions.If you send an emoticon to someone who isn’t using chat in Gmail, the emoticon may not display properly.To use smilies you can either type the appropriate key combination or you can use the blue smiley-face button at the right of the text-entry field.
4)Group Chat
Group chat in gmail is similar to a yahoo conference.The group chat feature lets you chat with many friends at once. There’s no limit to the number of people you can chat with.If you are chatting with someone and wish to ad some friend to join that chat Once you’ve started the chat, click Options at the bottom left of your chat window and select Group Chat and in ‘Add a person to this chat’ field ,enter the name of the contacts you want to add to your group chat.
